We have engaged a qualified coach to train and prepare our members for zonal and national competitions and friendly matches which are held periodically throughout the sporting and CCA calendar year.

    Hot Hot News!

    1. Intensive School Team Training - West Zone Table Tennis Championships 2009

    Training will begin from Week 1, starting 7 Jan 09 (Wed) at  3.00pm. To prepare for the upcoming competition in February. Training sessions will be 3 times per week (Mon, Wed & Fri) in the months of January and February 09. All school team players are expected to attend training.

    2. Selection Trials for Secondary 1 students

    Calling all Sec 1 students who are ex-school team players of their primary schools, if you are keen to play for Bukit View Secondary School, please approach Mr Joshua Tan immediately for selection trial.

    There will be selection trials for Sec 1 students who are keen to join Table Tennis CCA. The dates are 14 Jan (Wed - 3.00 to 4.00pm) and 16 Jan (Fri - 2.30 to 3.30pm). Please wear your PE attire and bring your bat if you have one.

    3.  Table-Tennis Noticeboard

    All members are strongly urged to read the Table-Tennis noticeboard frequently for annoucements and updates.

    About Us The Bukit View Table Tennis Team began its humble beginnings in the early 1990s. We aim to encourage greater participation among students and achieve greater excellence for our team in this sport.

We have both boys and girls teams. The B and C Division boys' teams have consistently secured top 4 positions at the West Zone Championships before 2005. Our B and C Division girls' teams have also grown from strength to strength since we started out in 2002.

 

 

Our Activities

 

Besides going for competitions and weekly training sessions, our members also participated in friendly matches arranged with other schools e.g. Fu Hua Secondary School and Unity Secondary School. Our team captains also organized gatherings and welcome-cum-farewell parties for our new Secondary 1 members and graduating students. We also celebrate birthdays wherever possible.

Team captains and level representatives also had the opportunity to showcase their ledership and talents as they oversee the CCA Awareness Day for Sec Ones.

Our boys and girls also attended a 3D/2N Combined Sports Camp together with Volleyball, Hockey and Cross-Country CCAs in May 2008. This was the third Combined Sports Camp since it first started in December 2005. The students were divided into several teams taking part in several sports-related activities. The theme of the camp was 'Olympism'. Through this camp, the students enjoyed themselves very much and learned much more about sports leadership and sportsmanship and positive values like perseverance and team unity and values of Olympism.

Training

CCA members (non-school team) are expected to attend training once per week. All school team players are to attend twice per week. The training venue is at the School Hall.
