Background:
The National Civil Defence Cadet Core (NCDCC) is a choice uniform group that equips our youths with life-saving skills for challenging times ahead. This is a brand new CCA in Bukit View Secondary School, with our first batch of Secondary One cadets recruited in 2008.
Activities:
Our cadets engage in a whole host of exciting activities. Some examples of these activities include
- Learning how to use fire extinguishers and fire hose reels to put out fires
- Performing first aid
- Learning how to perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
- Resucing and moving casualties in emergency situations
- Attending adventure training camps which includes activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, high ropes challenge and many more
