Measures to Maintain Discipline
 
The school maintains the standard of discipline through the following measures 

1. Encouragement and Reward (Recognition of Positive Behaviour) 

a) Good Deed Card 
 
To reward pupils who have been observed exhibiting good behaviour spontaneously. Tokens of recognition will be awarded to these pupils. 

b) Letter of Commendation 
 
To reward pupils for outstanding acts of courage. honesty and charity, etc. 

c) Best Class Award 
 
To reward the class with the cleanest and most well-kept classroom at the end of each month.
 
d) Model Student Award 
 
To reward pupils who have demonstrated strongly the school values and been role models of their respective classes for each term. 

2. Counselling 

All pupils who are punished will be counselled by the Principal, VP, Student Management teachers, Form teachers or Full-Time School Counsellor. Some will be referred to the professional counsellor who visits the school weekly. 

3. Involvement of Parents
 
The school invites parents (of pupils with problems) to school to discuss ways to help pupils to improve. 
 
Serious Offences
 
The following are serious offences (in or out of school). Pupils who commit any of these offences can expect severe punishment.

  • Smoking
  • Drug/Inhalant abuse
  • Possession of pornographic material
  • Theft
  • Vandalism
  • Extortion
  • Fighting/Assault
  • Threatening others
  • Gambling

The school reserves the right to decide on the form of punishment to be meted out for any misbehaviour not specifically described in the school rules.
 
Any activity against the laws of the Republic of Singapore is a very serious offence and, as such, the school may consider the expulsion of anyone guilty of such an offence.
