Highlights of Band Activities

The Band was formed in 1987 and currently has a membership of 70 members. The Band emphasizes on musicianship as well as discipline. This is done through regular music and instrumental practices as well as footdrills. Band Members have the opportunity to learn how to play music intruments free of charge.

The Band trains twice a week on Wednesdays and Fridays. The Band participated in the 2011 SYF Indoor judging of Central Bands which was held in April 2011 and was awarded a Bronze Medal. Besides training for the SYF, the Band also conducted a Bonding Camp in June 2011. We will be having another camp in November 2011. These camps helped to create a sense of bonding between members and hone the students' musical skills. 

The Band members also performed during School events like National Day Parade and concert as well as on important occasions like Chinese New Year. 

With the teachers and the instructors' guidance , the Band looks forward to providing more opportunities to achieve and excel in the year 2011.
