We made it to the Singapore Book of Records again! This time by creating the largest logo made of Heart-Shaped straws measuring 1.7m by 2.57m!

The previous similar record was held by Punggol CC YEC and Holy Innocents’ High School in year 2009.

2012 straw record breaking

The students, lead by a group of Peer Support Leaders, collected used drinking straws and folded them into heart-shapes to create our Bukit View School Logo. Well done Bukit Viewans!

2012 STcomp 1

Our team of journalists participated in the eigth annual Straits Times National Schools Newspaper Competition recently and emerged among the top 10 teams in the finals. They received the consolation prize on Friday, 9 November 2012 from news editor Sumiko Tan at the SPH auditorium.

2012 STcomp 2

The team consists of (from left to right) Nicholas Ong, Darwin, Joy Seet, Shafinah and Busyra. They competed with nine other teams in a 24-hour race to complete a four-page newspaper. Their writing, photography and design skills were put to the test, all while demonstrating a strong eye for detail and ability to keep calm under the pressure of a tight deadline.

Well done, Team Bukit View!
